Los Angeles was wonderful but I AM HOME!

It feels a little odd saying that since I was born and raised in Southern CA. But when I saw the skyline of Manhattan and read a text, "Have you landed yet?", I quickly forgot about sitting on the beach in 85 degree weather eating IN-N-OUT burger. I was on my way back to my husband. Where we would watch the seasons change from our little apartment and eat pizza by the slice ... That's MY HOME!

I have a few months "off" until 9 TO 5 regroups for Broadway rehearsals. I am taking on many little projects and one big, jumbo project. My solo CD is finally happening! I am nervous and overwhelmed by it all but terribly excited. As I type this update I am looking at the mock- up CD cover... so there's no going back. We are still a few months out before it's ready to go, but I promise to keep you updated on it's progress and release date.

Thank you all for your support and shared excitement!

Much joy,
Stephanie J.

Hi! So...9 TO 5 rehearsals are in full swing and I have yet to "tumble out of bed" or "stumble to the the kitchen"... which is a good thing, because knowing me, I'd hurt myself:)

All is well and exciting in my world. The show is terrific fun and I can't wait to put it up in front of an audience. There is still plenty of work to be done but I feel so proud to be a part of this show, this cast, this music. We all want to make Dolly proud!

I am very grateful for your excitement and support of 9 TO 5... we all want to make you proud too!

Keep sending good thoughts and I'll write again when the show is up and running in LA.

As always, much joy,
Stephanie J.

Hey all... so Spring didn't exactly bring strappy sandals and pedicures. Instead I have been "sporting" crutches and an air-cast. I did sprain my ankle last week. I am going to be fine. It's just going to take a little time... I was really hoping for a miracle healing (I am a believer:)) but when an entire week passed... well, what can I say... a sprain is a sprain.

When ANY performer misses shows due to sickness or injury... it is highly disappointing for us, too. We want to be on stage.

I hope to return soon. Until then, thank you for your support and your concerned emails.

Much joy,
Stephanie J.

P.S. Jules don't be worried. I am doing everything I can to be there for your WICKED "walk on".

Happy Spring! I am hoping everyone stayed healthy through this crazy "flu season". It hit me hard a couple times this year and all I can say is...YIKES! I am praying this change of season brings a changed and renewed sense of strength. I do love spring and the countless blessings that come with it. I am excited for pedicures and cute, strappy sandals. I am excited that my calendar is filled with family and friends flying out from the west coast. I am excited to leave for work an hour earlier so Seb and I can walk through Central Park on our way to the theatre (Macaco is excited about this too). I am excited about eating outside again and having people commenting on how cute my strappy sandals are:)

Work wise, I have extended my contract with WICKED through June 15th, 2008. I will be away for vacations and some time in LA, but more or less, I'll be green and belting for a few more months. I then start 9 TO 5 rehearsals and that will take me through the summer/fall and back to LA. This should be a great time and a great experience.

So... that's that... at least for now.

Enjoy the beginnings of spring and treat yourself to a pedicure!

Much joy.
Stephanie
