Falsettos Now Available for Streaming on BroadwayHD
As of August 14, the 2016 revival of William Finn and James Lapine’s Falsettos is available for streaming via BroadwayHD.
The subscription-based service has consistently been adding titles to its platform, and Falsettos marks the latest in this summer’s offerings. Starring Tony nominees Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells, Stephanie J. Block, and Brandon Uranowitz, the show was taped in January with plans to air on PBS this fall. The recording has already played movie theatres across the country to sold-out crowds. After it hit big screens July 12, the demand for tickets drove producers to schedule additional screenings across the country.
The cast also includes Tracie Thoms, Betsy Wolfe, and Anthony Rosenthal. The production features scenic design by David Rockwell, costume design by Jennifer Caprio, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, sound design by Dan Moses Schreier, hair and wig design by Tom Watson, and make-up design by Rachel Estabrook. It was also nominated for a 2017 Tony for Best Revival of a Musical.
